Nobody Ever Comments On These Posts.

Been a while since I've posted my links that didn't fit elsewhere, but I don't really have anything better to post today. Maybe I need a sideblog....

• Yet again spammers use a domain name (this one) as a return address. It's not even for something good like the Hunza Bread scam.

• Turns out many floors are cleaner than you think, but contaminated floors can still contaminate food in under five seconds. So be careful where you drop your Hunza Bread.

• The Most American Symbol Ever. I'm giving one to everyone this Christmas. (Relatedly, it was pointed out to me yesterday that we're 70 business days away from Christmas. Urg. I need to take at least 12 of those as vacation days. Sounds easier than you think.) (Link via Ernie.)

• Scrabblog Wordblog Puzzleblog. Name changed to avoid copyright issues; still a great, simple idea.

• Oooh, I want a Bar Monkey. Neat, plus, you're only one quick electrical short away from any number of pyrotechnic cocktails. (Serve me a few, and I might turn into one of these.)

• Very pleased over the repeal of Section 28 in England, and even moreso over California's Domestic Partner Rights and Responsibilities Act. It's good to have some good news for a change.

• It's Talk Like A Pirate Day! Arrr! (Nancy Boy.)

The Insanely Great And Powerful Oz.

You might think I was bragging if I told you that they gave me a brand new system at work. Well, I might be bragging if I were telling you how fast the Sims ran on it, or how easy it was to edit video and burn DVDs. Can't tell you either of those things, though. Everyone wants to know how fast it is; can't tell you for sure yet. I can tell you how quickly Illustrator crashes, though....

(Ok, to be truthful, it's probably not Adobe's fault. It could be my mouse software, or the windowshade haxie that I just installed. I'm kind of rough with my toys....)

And Not Once Did I Remember My Camera.

"Dear Diary: I was trying to have phone sex on Saturday Night when all these people at a party across the street started staring at me and pointing. It totally creeped me out! I couldn't even take off my shorts. What a bunch of perverts. At least I managed to get some bills paid later."

I had a great weekend, managing to hit two fun barbecues, two great parties and a beer bust bar crawl, all in two days, without being hung over. While it might have been nice to spread some of these parties out to some of my less festive weekends, it was all good times. It's not so much that I've forgotten how to have fun, it's just that I sometimes forget to have it.
