Alive, yes. Living? Maybe.

As my mother asked yesterday, Yes, I'm alive; I've just not blogged because our DSL was out a couple times when I had something to say. Played bingo and had fun, played Alice and got frustrated, packed up all my stuff at work to move to a new office Monday, and slept for 12 hours the other day because I was a little sick and a lot tired. But I've surfed a little:

  • Spent last night with The Maakies. Twisted and fun. I actually contemplated getting a Drinky Crow tattoo, but then that might have been the herbal tea talking.
  • Had fun at the Switcheroo Zoo. I wanted to do something like this for a flash ad a long time ago; nice to see someone did it well.

  • For some reason I needed (and found) a comprehensive history of the Psychological Attitudes towards Homosexuality. I didn't realize that ego-dystonic homosexuality (where the patient is distressed by their homosexual desires) was removed for a more general sex-related anxiety category in 1986. You learn something new every day.
  • Highly amused at In Passing. I knew there had to be a good replacement for Lance Arthur's much beloved but defunct "Overheard."

PLUR, Baby!

I'm having much fun with Ishkur's Guide to Electronic music. Some of it is a memory jogger ("Oh god! This is totally from that party in 1991 where someone threw up on the turntable!") some of it is just crap ("Oh god! Someone threw up on a turntable in 1997 and released it as a single!") and some of it is just kinda cool putting names to sounds.

Back at work.

Ill-prepared is an understatement.

Which to do?

Last day of my vacation. I can either go outside in the sun and look at all the happy kinky people who are invading my neighborhood, or I can stay inside and keep playing American McGee's Alice. Such decisions. (As opposed to this Alice, who wouldn't make as entertaining a video game. But I'd like to see someone try.)

Bonus link: Which character from the Alice game are you?
